    How's it hangin? I decided to take a break from watching the NBA playoffs and put up the lyrics to my newest recording, a song called Movies. I like this recording. A lot. Ya know what? This may be my favorite recording that I've ever had the pleasure to make. Gotta show love to Pick for the strings. Check it out on myspace here guys. Hey guys,

     It's been a busy month so far, and there's still a ways to go. I'm playing a show this sunday with the other songwriters in my masterclass and I'm excited because they are all really talented so it should be a good show!

    Also, the other day I had a strange experience which inspired me to write my newest song which I just finished yesterday. I met a girl last saturday that reminded me so much of my ex that it practically knocked me off my feet. I'll probably never see this girl again, and those are the two basis' on which I wrote the tune. I'm eager to get this one recorded because I wrote it differently than any other song I've done. Here are the lyrics:

First Blog....Of Many

Hello bloggers of the Blogosphere,

      My name is Matt Levy, I'm 21 years old, and I'm currently finishing my Junior year at Purchase College where I am a member of the Studio Composition department. Studio Composition is basically a fancy word for Songwriting. My job as a member of this department is to write as many songs and learn as many songwriting techniques from my professors as I can. Hip-hop was my first love as an artist. I spent countless hours making beats, writing rhymes, and being an all-around gangster...jk. However, once I graduated high school in my hometown of Portland, Oregon, R&B and Soul came into the foreground of my artistic interest. You can view my myspace page Here. It's great.
